Also like a car, you must perform routine maintenance to ensure it is running at it's best, in prime conditions. One of these routine repairs, is that of your registry, and RegistryFix is one possible tool for the job.

 

A repairing of your Windows registry should be performed frequently. If you stay on top of it, you have a greatly reduced chance of experiencing Windows errors, crashes, and slowdowns.

 

Installation
The only way to get a copy of RegistryFix is via their website. You can download the free trial before deciding if you want the full licensed copy. The file is very small, and is downloaded and installed in just moments. Installation requires no technical knowledge.

 

Features
RegistryFix has all the features you could want or expect from a registry repair software. Of course, what RegistryFix does best is Windows registry maintenance and repair. Whenever a registry optimization takes place, RegistryFix will automatically make a back up just in case something happens to go wrong. However, we haven't experienced any discrepancies since we started using it.

 

The startup program manager, is also another great tool that can significantly increase your Windows startup time and the overall performance of your computer or laptop. Nothing particularly special about this tool, but it does come in handy.

 

The Internet Explorer Object Manager is an additional feature that really makes RegistryFix great. This will let you view and select IE objects that you actually want to be running. This is a great way to find malicious software that could be draining your bandwidth and tarnishing your IP, and then remove it in just a couple clicks.

 

Interface
RegistryFix isn't quite as feature rich as other registry repair applications we tried. But this allows for a much cleaner interface, and less ways to get confused by the software if you are a novice PC user. Like most other registry cleaners, Registry Easy too has a one-click maintenance feature. From the main screen, you can perform all functions of the software instantly. The interface is graphically heavy, and makes for a interface that is easy on the eyes.

 

Ease of Use
RegistryFix has a very straightforward interface, which translates into a very easy to use piece of software. There is little to know learning curve, and computer users of all skill levels should be able to optimize their systems with no trouble at all.

 

Safety
Safety is, by no means, an issue when using RegistryFix. The automatic backup feature that RegistryFix provides, eliminates nearly all risk associated with modifying sensitive files, such as the registry.

 

Helpdesk/Support
The customer support behind RegistryFix is second to none. They are available via email and live chat just about all day. Customer support was very friendly, and was able to answer all my questions rather quickly. The help files included with the download itself is also very conclusive, and covers just about everything you need to know.

Conclusion
RegistryFix is not the most feature-rich registry tool that we have reviewed. But there is no doubt about it, RegistryFix gets the job done. For such basic software the price of $29.99 seems a bit high, but it depends on your specific needs when it really comes down to it.

 

We do recommend RegistryFix to those less experienced with Windows. The software is more simple than we'd like, but it also makes it easy to use for people not all that familiar with computer or Windows in particular.
